Penn State to recognize class of 2020 with virtual commencement ceremony

In response to the growing coronavirus pandemic, orders from the state government and recommendations from global public health organizations, Penn State will hold its spring 2020 commencement ceremony via livestream on May 9. The virtual ceremony will recognize all Penn State undergraduate students and all graduate students in the Penn State Graduate School.

Foreign study course includes trip to India

Penn State students studying health care, sports or community disciplines can enroll in the elective course NURS 499 for the fall 2019 semester to learn about their field of interest and then travel to Kerala, India, to perform community service as it relates to their field of study while also seeing some of India’s landmark sites.

Course in 'The Art and Science of Human Flourishing' expanding to 7 campuses

Based upon early successes, “The Art and Science of Human Flourishing” will be offered as a three-credit course at seven Penn State campuses — Altoona, Brandywine, Fayette, Greater Allegheny, Mont Alto, University Park and York — and is the focus of a research study evaluating possible outcomes in increased student health and well-being.
