WPSU-TV will televise “The Investment,” the final round of the Invent Penn State Inc.U Competition, at 9 p.m. on May 16 and again at 6 p.m. on May 21. During “The Investment,” six Penn State student startups compete for up to $30,000 in funding that will help advance their companies.
Penn State Berks student Nathan Bonslaver won first-place during the 2022 LION Tank pitch competition for his startup CarToCamp, which manufactures custom sleeping platforms for vehicles to enhance the car-camping experience.
Eight Penn State Mont Alto adult-learners were inducted into the Zeta Pi Chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda, the nation’s oldest and largest honor society for nontraditional students, on Monday, April 11.
Bhante Sujatha has visited Penn State Mont Alto every year since 2010 -- including virtually in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic -- to talk with campus and local community members about daily life and meditation. Sujatha will meet with students and community members during his visit.
Penn State colleges, campuses and units can still apply for Second-Year Enrichment Grants. Provided by the University, the grants are intended to fund programs that will support current second-year students in transitioning to a full on-campus experience.
Penn State Mont Alto faculty Robin Yaure and Robyn Chotiner worked closely with the Education Abroad office in Penn State Global and ISI Florence to condense a seven-week, nine-credit summer program into a three-credit course with a 10-day study abroad experience in Florence, Italy. For the Penn State students who participated in the programming, the experience was incredibly impactful. For some it was their first time out of the country.
A new bachelor of science degree in information technology will be offered beginning in the fall 2021 semester. The degree will replace the existing bachelor of science degree in information sciences and technology, which will be phased out over the next four years.
